“Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.” – Coco Chanel
Every single day, life happens. The hustle and bustle of creating opportunities, making things work or simply surviving another night or day. And even when we’re no longer a part of the daily ritual of life, it will continue without us. The sun will rise and set again. (thankfully) People will come and go as they normally do, building communities, or perhaps fulfilling our legacies. Hopefully while living life in peace, joy and with contentment.
So what really matters? After it’s all said and done, it’s what we decide to do while living. Are we truly living our lives in fullness or simply trying to get through the day? There is certainly a difference, and one can foster peace while the other can create anxiety.
I don’t know about you, but I lived enough of my life in disarray, unrest and with anxiousness. It’s not the life I want to live as I enter what I consider to be the best part of living.
That season when you finally start to understand some things about yourself, what’s really important to you and why the opinions of (all) others begin to take second and third fiddle. Know what I mean?
I’ve always been a late bloomer so this concept may be old news for many of you, and that’s okay. I say better late than never, because we all have our time to grow, become whole and live out our truth.
As the Bible states, “The truth will set you free”, nothing can bring peace like truth. It finds its way deep into our souls and psyche. It calms us while simultaneously fostering confidence and courage. It is like light in the darkness. It provides a path and gives purpose even during desolate times. Even when it seems like the lie is winning, those that know, know and can never truly deny what the truth proclaims.
So as you go on living your life, and folks lie on you. Let them lie. One day that truth will come to the light, and that light will be like the sun at high noon. It will not be denied, however many months or years it takes to manifest.
Always follow your heart, because your truth will usually be intertwined somewhere in the mix. They work in unison, giving us clarity regarding our purpose and the courage to step out into it, even when things may not seem perfectly aligned.
I dare you to step out, and live your truth!
Keep Pressing,
